The original time of the match ended in a tie with one goal for each team, so the two teams resorted to extra time in two halves that did not witness new, so that the two teams decided to penalty kicks, which Argentina decided in their favour, 3-2.
With this result, Argentina will face Brazil for the championship title next Saturday evening (Sunday dawn GMT), where Brazil, the defending champion and host, defeated Peru 1 - 0 in the second meeting of the semi-finals.
