Regarding lung transplantation, he indicated that respiratory failure is the only treatment for lung transplantation, but in the event of a viral or bacterial infection, the patient is prevented from doing the transplant until this infection is treated, because the lung is one of the very sensitive organs that are treated with caution, but This type of surgery is not available in Egypt.
Finally, the head of the chest department explained that exposure to air pollution and immune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatism and lupus erythematosus are more dangerous than infection with corona, and cause lung exposure to complications, and therefore it is necessary to stay away from such causes to preserve its health, and treat immune diseases.
