Learn About The Reasons For The importance of a Heart Examination After Recovering From Corona
Heart problems

 Corona virus has been classified as a respiratory virus since its appearance, but with time it has proven to affect  multiple organs of the body , including the lungs and heart, as doctors have reported a rise in the number of recovered Corona patients who suffered from long-term heart problems such as chest pain. sudden palpitations, heart attack, swelling of the heart, heart failure, decreased pump capacity (decreased ejaculation), blood clotting, irregular heartbeat

Thus, those recovering from corona are advised to have their heart checked regularly after every 6 months, adhere to a healthy diet, exercise, and take medications as suggested by the doctor to maintain a healthy heart.

Doctors in India explain, according to “ thehealthsite ”, that heart problems were more common due to high levels of inflammation in the body, while the body’s immune system fights the virus, the inflammatory process destroys healthy tissues along with the heart, and there are a large number of Corona patients who suffered from heart problems;

According to cardiologists, many patients infected with coronavirus have chest pain, myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle), heart attacks, heart failure, blood clots, arrhythmia (abnormal heartbeat), and stroke These problems may appear several months after recovery from corona infection.

It was noted that 78 of the 100 patients diagnosed with the infection reported symptoms of heart damage and inflammation.

Doctors noted that shortness of breath, chest pain or palpitations could be related to the heart, but it could also be due to other factors, including the consequences of severe illness, prolonged inactivity, and weeks of recuperating in bed.

Reports indicated that about 6 out of 10 patients examined in outpatient clinics had cardiac symptoms following the virus and were not suffering from pre-existing heart problems, and those with pre-existing heart problems should also exercise caution and should receive their medications and be followed up regularly. Regular check-ups and medical care when early signs or symptoms appear can prevent fatal complications

Follow a balanced diet

Doctors have suggested that people who have experienced chest pain after recovering from Corona or those who have already had heart problems and have contracted the Corona virus, should undergo heart tests to see how the heart is performing. EKGs, chest x-rays, and lipids should also be repeated after 6 months in high-risk individuals with pre-existing conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure. These tests will help determine if there is any damage to your heart, while also going for regular follow-ups.”

Besides regular cardiac examination, Corona patients are advised to choose a balanced diet consisting of all essential nutrients, and to avoid processed, oily, spicy or canned artificial sweeteners and flavors.

It is also important to control high blood pressure and cholesterol by monitoring it regularly. Also, people are advised to exercise daily to maintain an optimal weight and to prevent smoking. Also, do not ignore any abnormal changes that occur in the body and seek immediate medical attention.
