| The 11th Beijing International Film Festival |
The 11th Beijing International Film Festival witnessed the signing of contracts worth more than 35 billion yuan (about 5.5 billion US dollars), up 6 percent year on year, covering 44 major projects and 39 companies.
The contracts include the financing of film projects for television production and other related businesses. Through the festival, organizers hope to raise the morale of the industry and create an opportunity for exchanges between relevant parties, and hope to provide a good platform for cooperation and resource integration, so as to promote China's film industry. In the past 11 years, the festival witnessed the signing of 346 projects, worth over 200 billion yuan, or about 31 billion US dollars.
