A Prayer For The Sick To Recover

Supplications for healing from illness in the Holy Qur’an

The Noble Qur’an is a cure, the Almighty said: (And We send down from the Qur’an that which is a healing and a mercy for the believers) ,  and the following are the surahs and verses that are said for healing:


  • Holy verse: (no god but God is living and subsisting do not take one year and not sleep him what is in the heavens and on earth : Who will intercede with Him except with his permission knows what is between them and behind them and surround some of his knowledge , but he wishes His throne encompasses the heavens and the earth, and their preservation does not fail Him, and He is the Most High, the Great) .


  • Al - Fatiha: ( In the name of God the Merciful * Praise be to Allah , the Merciful * * owner of the Day of Judgment * Beware of worship and you we use * Show us the straight path * Path who bestowed on them is wrath not gone astray) .


  • Late Sura: ( a safe apostle in what was revealed to him from his Lord and the believers all believe in Allah and His angels, books and messengers do not differentiate between one of the apostles , and they said we have heard and we obey the forgiveness of our Lord and you determination * God does not burden any soul , but it can have what earned , and it gained our Lord does not Taakhzna if we have forgotten or sinned against our Lord and we carry insisted as his campaign on those of us of our Lord and carry us what we can not afford it and feel disgusted about us and forgive us and have mercy on you Maulana Vanasrna unbelievers) .


  • Surat Al-Ikhlas: (Say: He is God, the One; God, the Eternal, the Eternal .


  • Surat Al-Falaq: (Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of the Falaq * from the evil of what He created * and from the evil of the darkness when it rises * and from the evil of the blowers in the morning* .


  • Surat People: (Say : I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind * King of people * * God of the people from the evil * obsessive whisperer who whispers in the hearts of the people * of paradise and people) .


  • The Almighty said: (I have been touched by harm, and you are the most merciful of the merciful) .


  • The Almighty says: (And He heals the breasts of a believing people) . 


  • The Almighty says: (And when I am sick, He heals) .


  • The Almighty says: (There has come to you an admonition from your Lord and a cure for what is in the breasts) .


  • The Almighty says: (And We send down from the Qur’an that which is a healing and a mercy for the believers) .


  • The Almighty says: (Say: It is guidance and healing for those who believe . )


Supplications for healing from illness in the Sunnah

There are many supplications that are said to the patient in the honorable Sunnah of the Prophet, and the following are mentioned some of them:

  • The Messenger of God - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - used to say to the patient: (It is okay, it is pure, God willing) .
  • The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said to a man who complained of pain in his body: (Put your hand on the part of your body that hurts, and say: In the name of God three times, and say: I seek refuge in God and His Power from the evil of what I find and beware of seven times) .
  • When the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, visited the sick, he would pray for him and say: (Go away, Lord of people, and heal, you are the healer, there is no cure but your healing, a healing that never leaves) .
  • The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him , he says to the patient: ( In the name of God, the soil of our land, Brega each other, heals Sagamna, with the permission of our Lord) .


Various supplications for healing from illness

Visiting the sick and praying for him to be cured is considered the right of a Muslim over his Muslim brother, and our Holy Prophet urged us to pray for the good for our brothers, and this is a package of prayers for healing:

  • Praise be to God, who there is no god but He, and He is to praise the people, and He is over all things powerful, and Glory be to God, and there is no god but God, and God is the Greatest, and there is no might or power except with God. The patient for his health, and responds to the supplication of the wretched, heal every patient.
  • Take away the harm, Lord of people, with your healing hand, and none can remove it but You, O Lord of the worlds, Amen.
  • O God, I ask you of your great kindness, generosity, and leaving the beautiful, to heal him and provide him with health and wellness, O God, there is no refuge or escape from you except to you, that you are over all things
  • Oh God, wear him the garment of health and wellness, sooner rather than later, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
  • Oh God, heal him, God heal him, God heal him, Oh God, Amen.
  • O God, we ask you by every name to heal him.
  • There is no god but God, the Forbearing, the Generous, there is no god but God, the Most High, the Great, there is no god but God, Lord of the seven heavens, and Lord of the mighty Throne, there is no god but God alone, He has no partner, His is the King and His praise, and He has power over all things.
  • I seek refuge in Allah, the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, from the accursed Satan, from his puffs and puffs and spurs.
  • I seek refuge in God and his ability from the evil of what I find and warn.
  • I ask God Almighty, Lord of the Great Throne to heal you, I ask God Almighty, Lord of the Great Throne to heal you, I ask God Almighty, Lord of the Great Throne to heal you.
  • O Allah, heal him with a cure, after which there is no disease at all, O Allah, take his hand, O Allah, guard him with your eyes that do not sleep, and protect him with your corner that is not fine, and protect him with your honor that does not diminish, and eat him at night and in the day, and have mercy on him with your ability to him, you are his trust and his hope, O revealer of them, O releaser. Anguish, O answerer of the call of the needy.
  • In the name of God, I promote you, from the whispers of the chest and the distractions of the matter, and from diseases and delusions, and from the impulses of Satan , and from diseases, and from nightmares, and from disturbing dreams.
  • Our Lord God who is in heaven, sanctify your name, your command is in heaven and earth, as your mercy is in heaven, place your mercy on earth, forgive us our sins, you are the Lord of the good, send down mercy from your mercy, and a cure from your healing on this pain and he will be healed.
  • Oh God, who restores the sick to his health, and answers the prayer of the wretched, my Lord, heal every patient.
  • I ask you, O God, to heal him, there is no harm but your harm, and there is no benefit but your benefit, and there is no trial but your affliction, and there is no well-being but your recovery, you are the living and the eternal.
  • O Allah, O severe laxative, O laxative of iron, and O deliverer of threats, bring our sick and Muslim patients out of the narrow throat to the widest path, through You I repel Muslims what they cannot bear, and there is no power or strength except with God, the Most High, the Great.
  • Oh God, who hears the supplication of the servant if he calls you, oh healer of the sick with your ability, oh God , heal him with a speedy recovery , oh God, dress him in the dress of health and wellness, Lord of the worlds.
  • O Allah, we ask you by your supreme qualities that no one can describe, and by your beautiful names that no one can count.
  • O releaser of anguish, O answerer of the call of the compelled, O Allah, wear every patient the dress of health and wellness sooner than later, O Most Merciful of the merciful, O Allah, heal him, O Allah, heal him, O Allah, heal him, O Allah, Amen.
  • Oh my God, your name is my cure, your remembrance is my medicine, your closeness is my hope, your love is my comfort, and your mercy is my doctor and my helper in this world and the hereafter, and you are the giver of knowledge, the wise.
  • Oh God, the one who hears the supplication of the servant if he calls you, and the healer of the sick with your ability, oh God, heal him with a cure that does not leave sickness, oh God, wear him the dress of health and wellness, Lord of the worlds, you are over all things.
  • In the name of God, I upgrade myself from everything that harms me , and from the evil of every soul or envious eye. He heals Muslim patients.
  • O God, we ask You by Your Most Beautiful Names, Your Most High Attributes, and Your Mercy that encompasses everything, to grant us a speedy recovery, and to leave in us no wound except that it heals, no pain except that it calms it, and no disease except that you heal it.
  • Oh God, clothe us with the garment of health and wellness sooner rather than later, heal us and pardon us and pardon us, and include us with your kindness and forgiveness, and take care of us with your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
  • I delegate my command to God, and God sees the servants, there is no god but You, Glory be to You, I was one of the wrongdoers.


The reward of the patient for illness

The affair of the believer is always good, and if illness and calamity befall the one who is better in what is between him and God Almighty, then it is a sign of goodness and love, and the one who meditates and considers well realizes that there are subtle and hidden things in that from the Most Merciful, the Mighty and Sublime, so he thanks God Almighty. This affliction is a test of his patience and a test of his faith. then it is the Commission who is patient and the referee awarded by, and has a great reward and great reward in this world, and do not waste the reward of what works good and he used it, and this is by the grace and mercy of God, it was narrated from the Prophet Prophet peace be upon him , many of the conversations that Indicate the great reward of the patient over illness. Among these hadiths are the following:

  • The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him: (How wonderful is the believer, for all his affairs are good, and not that of one only for the believer, he gives thanks, it was good for him, he bears, patience was good for him)
  • The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: (No illness, fatigue, sickness, or sadness befalls a believer, even if he is concerned about anxiety, but that some of his evils will be expiated for him) .
  • The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: (If a servant falls ill, or travels, the same is written for him as what he used to do as a valid resident) .
  • The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: (If a servant precedes him in a position with God that he did not reach with his work, God tests him in his body, in his money, or in his children, then he is patient with that until he reaches the status that preceded him from God Almighty) .
  • The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: (People of good health would like on the Day of Resurrection, when the people of affliction will be given the reward; if their skins were cut with scissors) .
