Signing in and out of Outlook.com
Here are several solutions if you can't login in to your Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live, or MSN email account, or if you're not sure how to sign in or out.
Log in to your Hotmail or Outlook.com account
You'll need your Microsoft account username and password to login in to Outlook.com or Hotmail.(sign in)
Note: If you wish to go straight to Outlook.com the next time, uncheck the Do not show this again box (not recommended for shared computers).
Having trouble logging into Hotmail or Outlook.com?
Microsoft keeps a close eye on anomalous sign-in activities in case someone else is attempting to use your account. We may ask you to confirm that you are travelling to a new location or using a new device if you are.

You can't seem to log out of Outlook.com?
To exit Outlook.com
- Go to Outlook.com to sign out.
- In the upper corner of your inbox, select your account initials or account image.
- Sign out is the option.
Notes:
- Check to see if ad blocking is turned on if you don't see the image at the top of the screen. This can sometimes prevent the image from showing.
- If you don't see "See options for profile or account, These files can be found at: https://account.microsoft.com/
- You can also log out manually if you don't see the option to log out. Remember to close all browser windows when you're finished.
I'd want to disable automatic logging in
Turn off automatic sign-in if Outlook.com is logging you in automatically.
- Select your account image at the top of the screen in Outlook.com.
- Sign out is the option.
- Select Sign in from the Outlook.com sign in page.
- Select Next after entering your email address or phone number.
- Uncheck the box that says "Keep me logged in" on the Enter Password screen.
- Select Sign in after entering your password.
