China stands with Russia in its aggression against Ukraine, according to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, who also explained that China's governing party has become more oppressive and undermines the global order.
During a news conference, US Secretary of State John Kerry said that China is a global power with immense influence and ambitions, adding, "We are not seeking a new cold war, but we will enhance the international system."
Anthony Blinken went on to say that China aims to change the world order, pointing out that following the attack on Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin brought NATO members together.
The US Secretary of State claimed that Vladimir Putin had failed to achieve his strategic objectives in Ukraine, emphasising that the Russian President poses a clear threat, as evidenced by the attack on Ukraine.
China is escalating the escalation over Taiwan, according to Anthony Blinken, who also explained that China's moves on Taiwan are destabilising the area.
And the US Secretary of State went on to say, "We are willing to increase connections with Beijing on a number of areas," adding that US President Joe Biden's administration is investing in expanding our technological clout.
Anthony Blinken stated that the United States has the world's most powerful army and economy, adding, "We are working on a strategy to cope with Beijing's growing influence, and we are concerned about China's developing influence in the Indo-Pacific region."
